The Veterans Parade is a rain or shine event!  We will be there no matter the weather...will you?

We still need volunteers to help with the line-up.

Official Line-up starts at 1:00 pm.  Full formation by 1:30 pm.  Step off at 2:00pm

NEW LINE-UP LOCATION!!!!

ALL GROUPS SHOULD CHECK IN AT CAYUGA ST at either Seneca St or Green St barricades

* All Vehicles will be lining-up on Cayuga St between Seneca St and Green St

*Bands that are walking will be dropping off on Seneca St across from the Hilton, walking thru the barricades, check in to find line-up location or see map below.

* other groups will be placed within these spots and final location announced on Wednesday

PARKING: THE EASIEST MAY BE TO PARK AT OLD LINE-UP LOCATION AND COME UP CAYUGA ST.  It is only two blocks from were we used to line-up.

As always, all participants are invited to share a meal upstairs back at the VFW after the parade!!

Final step-off order for parade route.  Staging may very.  Check in with a team leader with a clip board for further instructions if needed.


Section 1 - Anthony

-         Patriot Guard Riders

 -         American Legion Post 221 Van and Veterans

 -         East Hill Classic Marching Band with Johnny Russo and friends playing traditional military salutes

 -         VFW Post 961 Van and Veterans with volunteers handing out flags along the entire route

 Parade Marshalls -  The Dough Boys, American Legion Post 396, Geneva NY

 -         Edward Maloney Memorial Pipe Band from Binghamton, NY, in memory of Patrolman Ed Maloney – Founder of NYPE Emerald Society Pipe Band

 -         ROTC Divisions from Cornell University and Ithaca College

Section 2 - Karly

 -         The Kirby Band is one of the oldest bands in the country formed in 1876.  It has performed every year since.

 -         Marine Corps League, EJ Brewer Attachment, Color Guard, Drill Team and Car with Veterans

 -         Home Depot Float, Home Depot offers a 10% discount to all Veterans!

 -         Bangs Ambulance

 -         New York State Police Car, Ithaca Barracks

 -         Newfield Marching Band salutes our Veterans and active duty military with our rendition of “The US Air Force” Song.  The only marching band in the parade for the 3rd year in a row.

 -         Girl Scouts, Juniors, Brownie Troop #40306, Caroline Elementary School with Troop Leader Paula Klaben

 -         Cub Scout Packs 4 & 7 from Ithaca with Cubmasters Jeff Christen and Robin Stedinger

 -         Cub Scout Pack 46 from Freeville with Tom Sorensen, Cubmaster

 -         Cub Scout Pack 55 from Ellis Hollow which meets every Tuesday at the Ellis Hollow Community Center.  They have a very active scouting program and camp almost every month of the year with Dawn Thornton, Cubmaster

 -         Roseanna’s Robillaires, New York State Parade Corps and Pom Pom Champions

 -         Vietnam Veterans of America #377, Finger Lakes Chapter, Vietnam Veterans from Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force & Coast Guard

Section 3 - Chuck

 -         Bob Bertrand Unit Flags, Pompey, NY, the flags are enlargements of shoulder patches worn by service personnel

 -         Dryden Veterans Memorial Home Ritual Team, made up of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Sons of Union Veterans

 -         Penn York Highlanders, Ladies from Hell pipe band from Athens, PA. The name ‘Ladies from Hell’ is military in origin, and was given to the Scottish highland regiments of WWI by the Germans, who discovered the ferociousness of the soldiers clad in kilts.

 -         Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, 1861-1865, Sydney Camp #41

Section 4 - Mike (and Green St Barricades)

 -         New York State Park Police Car

 -         Cornell University Car

 -         Cornell University Canine Unit Car

 -         Ithaca Police Department Mobile Command Center

 -         Broome County Celtic Pipe & Drums

-     Dryden Fire Department
